What is Skateistan?
Skateistan is an international non-profit organization that uses skateboarding and education to help children and youth around the world. Skateistan's unique approach offers young people the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment while developing skills and confidence for their future.
Skateistan was founded in 2007 in Kabul, Afghanistan. The organization has now expanded its activities to countries such as Cambodia and South Africa, and is also active in Central and Southeast Asia, South America and the Middle East. In all of these countries, Skateistan is committed to giving young people the chance to develop their potential and realize their dreams.
Skateistan offers free educational programs, skateboarding workshops and other activities to provide children and young people with an opportunity for positive leisure time and personal development.
